Way Chefs Food Fest Laughlin
RiverFlight* Hot air balloons take to the skies over
Laughlin and the Colorado River. It has been held successfully in Laughlin for three of
four years and is dependent upon favorable weather. Visitors can buy a ride in the balloons offering breathtaking
views of entire region. Balloonists compete for more than $10,000 in prize money in the
Friday, Saturday and Sunday dawn ascensions. Nightglows take place on Friday and Saturday

Roping Finals Hundreds of
cowboys and cowgirls will attempt to beat the clock in Laughlin for this third annual
event. The United States Team Roping Championship, Inc. has held all of the qualifying
rounds in six cities in the West including San Luis Obispo and Santa Rosa, CA and
Albuquerque, NM. Approximately 2,000 teams of ropers hope to chalk up one of
their best performances in the four-day competition in Laughlin.

Desert Challenge SCORE Racing Action More than 200 of the
worlds top off-road drivers will compete in this sixth annual race through the rough
desert terrain in the Laughlin area. The likes of Ivan "the Iron Man" Stewart,
the Herbst Brothers and Team McPhearson attend this annual event, as do thousands of
spectators. This date is the first race in the SCORE Series throughout the Southwest,
which culminates with the TECATE BAJA 1000 produced by SCORE International. The Laughlin
event is filmed for national television distribution. Highlights include the unequaled
Laughlin Leap and Pit Crew competition for $25,000 in prize money and two full days of
